That would be me. So busy, in fact, that I’ve been wanting to get this post out for the longest time and finally resorted to editing it in my bed on my laptop.
A LOT has been going on around here. There are a lot of things I’d like to write about – and I will get there – but for this moment I wanted to lay down a list of all the things that I’m hoping to tackle in the very near future, in no particular order of course. Here we go…
- Deep clean, rearrange and remodel the nerd cave and network backbone.
- Stand up a 3-node Kubernetes/Proxmox cluster (yes, I’ve been eBaying again). The plan is to play with Kubernetes for a while and, when I tire of that, wipe the boxes and install Proxmox.
- Declutter/clean the basement and other areas of the house that require it (this might require a week off work in and of itself)
- Do all sorts of nerdy networking stuff, which will require the procurement of more yet to be determined gear.
- Improve the Linux laptop experience.
- Fix my Plex setup.
- And a ton of stuff I’m sure I am forgetting.
There will be detailed updates on some of this stuff as time goes on but, for now, at least I’ve checked in and have left this little list so I won’t forget stuff.
Anywho… the remodel/deep clean of the nerd cave should happen this weekend. Being a holiday weekend, it will give me an extra day to tear down, clean, move stuff around, and reconnect before I have to be back online for work on Tuesday. Stay tuned!
On a holiday weekend?!?! That’s for beer and bbq.
