It’s not a lot, but it’s an improvement!
As eluded to in my post of a couple days ago, I improved my work area a little bit by installing a cable tray and getting the power strip off the floor.
As you can see from the attached image, I successfully installed a cable tray onto my work desk, and got the power strip bolted to the bottom of the desk so it’s off the floor. This had the added benefit of allowing me to plug it back into the UPS instead of directly into the wall since, prior to it’s relocation, it wouldn’t reach the UPS.
The work desk is 5 feet wide. I also have a non-work desk where most of my nerd stuff sits, and it is 8 feet wide. The power strip for that area is already bolted to the underside of that desk and has been for some time, but the cables are a-danglin’, so I have ordered a cable tray for this desk as well. I wanted a longer one so I ended up ordering a 55″ version; it’s a different design than the one I installed the other night but I think it’ll work:
This thing should show up in a couple days or so, and then I’ll go about neatening up my nerd area with it.
That’s about all for now!
