Well here it is. Tuesday, October 14th, 2025…
And we all know what that means — Microsoft is ceasing support for Windows 10. And that means I have things to do.
Ah, the memories this conjures. You all remember, right? Back in January of 2020, right before the pandemic happened, and Microsoft ceased support for Windows 7. I’ll give the buttheads this much: they are consistent. They really like creating friction on Tuesdays that also are the 14th day of the month. I began my journey to Windows 10 shortly after that day in January, 2020, and my journey lingered well into November of that same year.
So here we are again, and I have things to do. Yeah, I’ll cave, and likely upgrade my main machine to Win11, at least for the short term. I have two other machines, however, that will be wiped and have Linux installed on them; they are media center PCs on my TV sets so I’m looking forward to seeing what they will become.
So yay me! Time to get crackin’!!
