Fortnite

If the game is "stuttering"

- Go to your local app data folder. (If you don't know how to get there press the windows + R keys at the same time and type in: “%localappdata%”)
- Go find and open the “NVIDIA” folder, then open the “DXCache” folder inside of that.
- Use Ctrl + A to select everything at once then delete everything. (If it says something is currently in use just skip it, those files probably are not related to Fortnite)

This will reset your shader catch and fix 99% of stuttering issues in Fortnite and other games having the same issues.

Also to help with this in the future open your “NVIDIA Control Panel” app and go to “Manage 3D settings” and search “Shader Cache Size”. You can increase the size of this allowing for your GPU to hold onto more shader data at once. Normally is it 1-5GB but you can up to 100. Personally I prefer 10GB. (The more storage space it has the more shader data it can hold, but also will take up more Hard Drive space.)
